The plot has thickened since the last episodes. The assest who gave infomation to Clare and the CIA has now been shot outside the club. She was told she had to go and give the princes friend as warm welcoming. She was greeted outside the club by a 'driver' who then shot her and took a very pricey neckclass that was give to her by the prince. Clare finds her but has to move quickly as she may get shot to. The prince is interviewed by the CIA, but he looks geniunaly upset by the death of his friend - who we know is also one of his lovers -. Clare believes that the prince has nothing to do with it and carrys on looking for clues. Meanwhile Brody does and interview with a news crew with his family. The daughter knows that her mum was sleeping with Brodys former soldier friend aswell and the mum begs her not to tell him. At the end of the programme a new couple come onto the picture, they are shown to be purchasing a house. There is a roaring noise. The estate agent says 'People say you get used to the noise' an areoplane then flys over the houses. And the couple reply 'Its perfect for us'. This shows something is up and maybe they are in the attacks and planning another terroist attack using planes like 9/11.
The use of a cliffhanger will make sure the viewers come back. It keeps them thinking about the programme. Which will make them return each week to watch the show.
Also Homeland is not a restrictive narrative, we found out more than the characters do. For example, because Clare friend didnt put a camera in the garage she doesnt find out what happens in there. However we are shown the Brody gets up early and opens the gargae door open to let sunlight in so that he can pray. Also the use of flashback expalins further why he prays. He prays because when he was held hostage he saw the men praying and obviously ahs been trained to pray to god.
