Luther

In this episode Luther has to catch we young man who is killing policeman due to being convinced from his father who shot an officer. Also Luthers new found 'frenimie' Alice starts to try and find out a bit more about Luther. She tells Luther that she is going go to his ex wifes house. Zoe and her boyfriend get intergergated by Alice.

In this episode we find out that Luther is an Anti-hero. He is quite aggressive towards the criminals/witnesses/ or people that would have a link. He loses his temper quite quickly and shouts and slams thigns a fair bit. To try and cover the aggressive side he is quite sarcastic towards the people he doesnt like, implys he doesnt like them in a sly way. Also he refers to the devil quite a lot. 'Do you think your on the devils side without even knowing it'.

Also we see that Luther is very smart. He uses intrapnment to catch the criminals out. He mostly keeps things to himself. He is independant. This makes him look amazingly smart as he is the only one working out the crimes.

The things that make him look like a hero is that he puts himself in danger. For example in this episode irritates the criminal so he comes and finds/hurts Luther. Luthet then goes to his estate where he knows that the criminal will try and come for him. Even though that wasnt his job, he still puts himself in danger so that he can get the job done. Also when Alice threatened his wife Luther took action and rang his wife to try and portect her and her boyfriend. That highlights his hero side.

However Luthe is quite an odd character. He sometimes makes comments about dying, which highlights he may be suicidle or have problems with himslef. For example when he was standing on the edge of his office buliding making comments to his former officer wondering what it would be like to fall. Also he still has contact with a so called murderer Alice. At the end of this episodes they go out for a coffee. He states just because they are going out for a coffee they are not friends. Its clear theire is a bond forming between these two. This is weird because no one usually has a bond with a former criminal they have worked with.

Luther is what we would call an Anti-Hero.
